Non-Immigrant Type B (Business) Visa – For Work
There are multiple types of business registrations a company in Thailand can be registered under: General Business, Board of Investment (BOI) and Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT). The application, extension and renewal procedures for the visa and work permit differs depending on the type of business employing the expat.
Initially, the applicant must arrive in Thailand on a Non-Immigrant Type B visa. This is applied for at the Thai embassy/consulate abroad. Once in Thailand, we can then begin to process the visa extension and apply for the work permit.
We are able to offer our services in order to help apply for the Non-Immigrant Type B visa abroad, as well as the processing of the extension and future renewals at the Immigration office here in Thailand.
Please note that all expats are required to obtain and hold a work permit, in order to legally work in Thailand. This is applied for once the expat is in Thailand, at the Department of Employment.
Non-Immigrant Type B (Business) Visa – For Work
The SMART visa, released in 2018, is aimed at BOI companies in specific technologically advanced industries, offering visas for expatriates who meet the criteria. This type of visa offers various benefits and privileges for holders, including a longer visa validity period (of up to 4 years) and the ability to travel in and out of Thailand without a Re-Entry permit.
The SMART visa is split into 5 types:
- Smart T – Talents
- Smart I – Investors
- Smart E – Executives
- Smart S – Start Ups
- Smart O – Dependents

Non-Immigrant Type O-A / O-X – Retirement Visa
If you are looking to retire in Thailand and are over the age of 50, this is the visa for you. Please contact us for further information regarding the criteria.
Non-Immigrant Type ED – Education Visa
If you are looking to study in Thailand, this is the visa for you. This type of visa allows applicants to study at institutions that are registered with the Ministry of Education or to study the Thai language here.
Tourist Visa
This type of visa is for people who are travelling to Thailand for tourism purposes, to visit family members residing here or for medical purposes at registered hospitals. Please contact us for further information.
Single Entry and Multiple Entry Visas – Re Entry Permits
A single-entry visa allows the expatriate to enter Thailand once, whereas a multiple-entry visa allows the expatriate to exit and enter Thailand as they please for a given duration.
Please note that if a “Re-Entry Permit”, either multiple or single entry, is not applied for, then the expatriates visa will be voided upon exiting Thailand and the application must be resubmitted.
90 Day Notification
All expatriates residing in Thailand for over 90 days are required to notify their local immigration office of their stay every 90 days. Failure to do so will result in fines being charged. We offer our services in tracking the due date, preparing all the required documentation and reporting to the immigration office on your behalf.
