Retirement Visa Type O-A

Requirements for Retirement Visa (Applied from the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate Abroad)

Non-Immigrant Visa – Type O-A

  • Applicants must be over the age of 50 years.
  • Applicants must have THB800,000 of finances available.

This can be shown by either:

  • Guarantee Letter from the bank in Thailand, written in Thai, showing THB800,000, along with a copy of all the entries in the applicant’s bank book.

or

  • Guarantee Letter from the local or overseas embassy or consulate, showing a monthly pension of at least THB65,000 per month.  

or

  • Evidence of a combination of deposited money and monthly pension, of at least THB800,000.
  • Applicants must have health insurance, with a minimum coverage of: OPD THB40,00 & IPD THB400,000
  • Applicants must not have the following diseases: Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction, Elephantiasis, Syphilis
  • Applicants must not have a criminal record in Thailand or their country of residence (where the application is being submitted)
